I saw a photo of a hillside in greece and I was hooked - It was the pattern, the repetition and the archetype - this mixture of the most fundamental icons 
and my control freaking ocd 
- this pattern became my meditation, my practice, my perfect world
The first building I ever drew was 'The Hall of Knowledge' - where you can see the early formulation of the spirits in the sky pattern.
The first one I ever drew after seeing the photo from Greece was 'The Orange City' -
where I had created a self contained world of abundance and peace. It soon became a styalised pattern, a prime example being 'The Sacred City' of which a limited edition print was made that you can see here
There are many (many) drawings that include the building icon in my art - so the choices I have made represent a shift or a growth
in the development of the meaning of them - (and they all relate to the sky) -
The story of Building Bridges 
incorperates the classic building icons - it is a fundamental work in my career as an artist
