The Fish Under The Jetty
UNDER THE JETTY
This original painting is huge. Each fish was drawn separately from an aquarium in a tourist attraction called "The Butterfly Farm". The man there would catch local fish from under the Busselton Jetty and put them in seperate tanks in the aquarium. Then I would go there and draw them, eventually painting them into the painting.
The Orange Fish in the Center
This fish is not a local of the south west of western australia. The thing is with our local fish ( or the ones in the aquarium at least) were that they were all a bit drab, and in order to complete the painting I needed the 'punch' of a bright colour.
