When I painted the first of the love heart images I remember trying to create the simplest image- to the point of abstraction- that expressed the most basic and fundamental message to the world. After this the love heart images became my sole focus for at least 5 years (apart from some seriously complicated huge paintings going on in the background - which is a whole seperate newsletter)
